Bristol Zoological Society is a conservation and education charity, which runs and operates Bristol Zoo Gardens and Wild Place Project.

The Clifton Pavilion building, managed by Bristol Zoo Gardens Hospitality boasts multiple function rooms.  Flexible enough to accommodate formal events such as a small boardroom meeting, an exhibition event, a presentation within our lecture theatre or more social gatherings, informal networking, a family party or a formal seated dinner.  The Clifton Pavilion hosts weddings, conferences, Summer and Christmas parties, meetings and much more.

The Hide Restaurant

The Hide Restaurant offers everything from early morning breakfast meetings, to large-scale networking events or parties, this impressive new venue can accommodate up to 300 people, to celebrate a range of occasions with themes ranging from relaxed dining to canapés and cocktails.

Coffee Shack

Choose from a selection of hot dogs, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, as well as ice creams and confectionery.

The Hungry Monkey Kiosk

With pasties, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks, stop by the Hungry Monkey for rumbling tums. When the sun comes out you can also grab a soft scoop ice cream too! As always, our food is made using the best local, ethical and sustainable ingredients, all freshly prepared by our chef every day.

Weddings

The Clifton Pavilion

The Clifton Pavilion at Bristol Zoo Gardens provides the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony, reception and evening party. Built in the 1920s for grand occasions, the building’s graceful architecture offers elegant rooms with beautiful views overlooking the west lawn and flamingos.

With high vaulted ceiling and chandeliers, the Clifton Suite and Garden Room offers a stunning backdrop for both the wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast for up to 120 guests. The Garden Room is light and airy with a patio leading out in to the gardens; a great space for your reception drinks and evening party for up to 150 guests.

There are fabulous photo opportunities within the 12 acres of award-winning gardens. Your guests are welcome to explore the Zoo and see a host of animals ensuring that your wedding will be a unique event to be remembered.

Meetings and Conferences

Christmas Celebrations

The Clifton Pavilion is available for both lunchtime and evening parties. Minimum numbers start from 70 guests with a maximum capacity of 120 guests seated or 150 guests buffet.

The Hide is also available this festive season, offering an evening buffet with a capacity of up to 300 guests.

In addition to these spaces, it is possible to hire the entire Zoo grounds for an evening complete with private viewings of the animal houses. These are popular for larger festive parties.

Summer Parties and Al Fresco Events

We have fantastic offerings that can cater for up to 2000 guests

Parties can be hosted within one of our two venues onsite. Our 1920's building, The Clifton Pavilion, or you can opt for The Hide, our animal-themed restaurant that offers an immersive, experience for guests.
