Dipna Anand - Restaurant & Bar

Dipna's latest restaurant at Somerset House is a celebration of years of experience cooking authentic Indian food which has won her industry awards and accolades as well as guest slots on various cooking TV shows.

Heroing the authentic Punjabi and South Indian cuisine that Dipna is known and loved for, the menu features signature dishes including samosa chat blast, Delhi makhana chicken and dynamite wings alongside a wonderful weekend brunch menu, classic thali plates and traditional dishes on the a la carte menu like South-Indian prawn curry.

Open all day, this stylish bar in the New Wing offers an extensive list of drinks: contemporary cocktails, craft beers and wines, plus coffees and teas. You can sit at brass-topped tables, at the marble bar or outside on the terrace. Regular events include a monthly wine masterclass. 

Pennethorne’s is named after Sir James Pennethorne, who designed Somerset House’s New Wing. The architect’s grand tour through France and Italy in the 1820s has inspired the food such as beef cheek on toast and smoked mackerel; plus nibbles such as maple-glazed bacon peanuts and Gordal olives. 

The drawing room is available for private hire.

San Miguel Terrace Bar

The sheltered and heated open-air bar takes inspiration from San Miguel’s Spanish origins, bringing a lively, warm and inviting atmosphere to the River Terrace - the ultimate destination to reunite with friends from sunrise to sunset.

Guests will be able to enjoy San Miguel Especial as well as 0,0%, gluten-free and beer cocktails will also be on offer. A delicious menu of small plates, inspired by San Miguel’s Iberian roots, has been specially crafted to perfectly complement the drinks selection.
