Hospitality Apprenticeships Week

At Restaurant Associates, we are dedicated to fostering training and development within the hospitality industry.

Last year our groundbreaking Level 4 Apprenticeship programme, 'Collaborate' was formed in a strategic collaboration with renowned Chef Michel Roux with the aim to revolutionise apprenticeships and nurture the next generation of talented chefs and front of house teams.

By integrating training that allows both sides to understand each other's roles, it can lead to a more harmonious and efficient operation. This type of training not only enhances communication but also helps each team appreciate the challenges and intricacies of the other’s domain.

Faye De Souza is a shining example of the success and value that this apprenticeship has brought to the business.

“Over the past 15 months, I have been part of the Restaurant Associates Collaborate Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship – Cohort 1 (18-month course). It has been an incredibly rewarding learning curve, gaining knowledge in both FOH and BOH management. The RA Added Value supplier trips at Lake District Farmers site, Waste Knot Farm and Bolney Estate were such a privileged to experience.

“Though at times challenging, the hard work has paid off as I enter the End Point Assessment. It is a reminder that everyday a lesson can be learnt, and education has no age restriction. I am thankful for the fellow Collaborate apprentices I have grown with, as well as all the supportive mentors/ trainers who have assisted in learning.”
