James Tweedy, Head of Operations at Glyndebourne wins prestigious ACE Robyns Award

It was a proud and memorable evening for James Tweedy, our Head of Operations at Glyndebourne, as he was named winner of the 2025 ACE Robyns Award by the Association of Catering Excellence.

Held on Wednesday 9th July, the awards ceremony was a vibrant celebration of emerging talent across the contract catering industry. The awards spotlight exceptional individuals aged 35 and under who are making a real impact - whether in culinary endeavours, front-of-house service or driving innovation and business growth.

James’s career journey has been nothing short of inspiring. In recent years he has been instrumental in driving the commercial and operational transformation of the hospitality experience at Glyndebourne Opera House. His dedication, vision and forward-thinking leadership embody the very best of the industry, making him a truly worthy recipient of this award.

Reflecting on the honour, James shared: “Winning the ACE Robyn Award is an incredible honour and a proud moment in my career. It’s a milestone that not only recognises the work the team and I have achieved at Glyndebourne but also highlights the journey I’m on and the ambitions I hold for the future.

“One of the most exciting aspects of the award is the opportunity to be mentored by a member of the ACE board, which I believe will be instrumental in helping me continue to grow as a leader in the hospitality industry. I am also thrilled to be joining the ACE board this year, where I hope to honour Robyn Jones’ legacy by championing and supporting the next generation of talent in food service. To everyone who has supported, challenged, and inspired me along the way - thank you.”
