Restaurant Associates acquires London’s leading events caterer Rocket

We are thrilled to announce that we have recently acquired luxury event caterer Rocket; a new partnership which allows both parties to extend their reach in providing fabulous hospitality across the London market and nationwide.

Rocket was established in 2000 by brother and sister Michael Symonds and Caroline Hall. They set out to be the top luxury event caterer in London and subsequently built a reputation based on exquisite food, creativity and outstanding client service.

Rocket has a client base that covers some of the biggest names in fashion, automotive and financial services as well as major charities and private clients. Over the last 22 years, it has been a preferred supplier at many of London’s most prestigious venues. Beyond luxury events, Rocket’s services have grown to include international sports hospitality, luxury canapé delivery brand Pocket Rocket and cook-alongs with A Cook’s Tour.

The new partnership enables Restaurant Associates to work in collaboration with Rocket in the servicing of its current customer base. With this acquisition, Restaurant Associates will have access to Rocket’s culinary and logistical expertise in delivering exquisite food from its Central London production kitchen.

It will also provide access to a greater level of support to Rocket regarding sustainability, supply chain and some of Compass Group’s award-winning training and apprenticeship schemes.

Both of Rocket’s Managing Directors, Michael Symonds and Caroline Hall, alongside senior management and their 50 employees will continue to manage and deliver services.
