Restaurant Associates and Dash team volunteer at The Felix Project

What a fantastic day out for the Restaurant Associates and Dash team volunteering at The Felix Project in Poplar London. Right now, millions of people in the UK regularly experience hunger. Yet tonnes of surplus fresh food is thrown away every day.

The Felix Project collects fresh, nutritious food that cannot be sold. The deliver this surplus food to charities and schools so they can provide healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in our society. Our teams got stuck in and helped sort through the mountains of perfectly repurposable food that somehow ended up in the waste stream. We went through tons of food items and separated them into deliveries for different charities as well as that we took the raw ingredients and made them into ready to eat meals that went to someone in need at a charity nearby.

It's so incredibly satisfying to see how with a little bit of help a lot of organisation/coordination skills from The Felix Project a real change can be made in your local area. To push this a step further In July 2022, Dash aee donating 1 x free meal via The Felix Project for every Dash can sold in Restaurant Associates sites.
