Set in the heart of England on the Leicestershire, Warwickshire border, Twycross Zoo is an award-winning conservation charity, with an award-winning school’s programme, and fun for all the family 364 days a year.
Set in more than 80 acres, they have around 500 animals of almost 100 species to see, including many endangered animals and also native species in the Zoo’s Nature Reserve.
Twycross Zoo is now renowned as a World Primate Centre and has a wide variety of monkeys and apes including the UK’s only group of bonobos.

Christmas Celebrations
Celebrate Christmas with a truly extraordinary experience. Step into Lanterns of the Wild at Twycross Zoo, a brand-new immersive adventure that transforms the zoo after dark. Journey through over a mile of breathtaking lantern displays, with ten vibrant zones that take you from the rainforest to the deep ocean and beyond.
This one-of-a-kind experience includes the world’s first Gruffalo lantern trail, festive food and drink and a magical atmosphere for guests of all ages. Our Christmas packages include everything you need to make the night shine.
Weddings
We have a number of beautiful locations which will provide a stunning backdrop for your big day.
Our sensational Windows On The Wild room, which accommodates up to 100 guests. It is fully licensed for civil ceremonies, overlooks a natural area of the Zoo and has its own private entrance through the Fisherman’s Shack. Alternatively, other unique locations include the Himalaya Room, with views onto the snow leopard enclosure, or the Gibbon Forest enclosure.
All offer impressive views and the opportunity for eye-catching wedding photography.
Meetings and Conferences
Twycross Zoo itself is at the forefront of conservation, education and research, and provides the perfect location to train and inspire your delegates. By bringing your event to the zoo, you are supporting our conservation and educational work.
Our stunning Windows on the Wild room offers a light, bright space for up to 110 delegates, with large windows overlooking a natural area of the Zoo. With equipment including ceiling mounted projector, screens, microphones and built-in PA system, as well as a selection of carefully prepared, seasonal menus, we offer all the ingredients for a memorable meeting.
