From 17-25th June, Pennethorne’s at Somerset House will becelebrating English Wine Week with a flight of 3 beautiful Englishsparkling wines – Hattingley, Nyetimber and RestaurantAssociates’ very own bespoke cuvée Bolney North Down.
Annually celebrated, English Wine Week promotes homegrownwines across the nation and the ever-growing recognition is atestament to the evolution of wine-making history and heritage inthe UK.
Set in the stunning surroundings of Somerset House,Pennethorne’s, named after Sir James Pennethorne, a 19th-century English architect who designed the New Wing atSomerset House in which the bar resides, is one of London’s moststylish venues, with its layout inspired by Sir James’ Grand Tourof Europe.
Stephanie Robertson, Restaurant Associates’ Head of Wine comesfrom a Michelin star background and will be attendingPennethorne’s on Wednesday 21st June for an intimate Q&Asession in the evening. Stephanie will be available to answer anyquestions guests may have around English wines and provideinsight into the wines on offer. With a host of knowledge underher belt, Stephanie has been working with Restaurant Associatesfor over 5 years and has recently been shortlisted for the Wine &Spirit Ambassador Award at this year’s Cateys.
