Restaurant Associates welcomes spring with a series of showcase events

As the days get longer, evenings brighter and the world continues to open back up, Restaurant Associates are celebrating the new season with a spring in their step. Following a two-year hiatus from hosting events across their portfolio of UK venues, Liam Potter: Restaurant Associates’ Business Development Manager, gives us the lowdown on their most spectacular events spanning the Capital through to both Bristol and Manchester.

March saw HMS Belfast, the most significant surviving WWII Royal Navy warship, host the first of the showcase events. Moored on the River Thames, the atmosphere matched the setting, the season starting on a high with the attendance rate topping 90-98%, highlighting the enthusiasm to return to in-person occasions.

The second showcase took place in London’s stunning Grade II listed Imperial War Museum, a venue which joined the Restaurant Associates portfolio in March 2021. With over 200 guests in attendance, Bryn Williams - part of the Restaurant Associates Chef family, widely regarded as one of Wales' best chefs - crafted a showstopping three-course fine dining experience, aptly selected to compliment the spectacular building.

The final of the spring events concluded at Somerset House, home to the UK’s largest creative community. On March 24th Restaurant Associates celebrated the space with cocktails in the historic Navy Boardroom followed by a culinary offering in the infamous Portico Rooms from Ways to be Well: the wellness programme underpinned with seasonal, sustainably sourced, nutritious ingredients. Key leaders came to the stage from the Deputy Director of Somerset House – Diana Spiegelberg to Nick Sharma – Executive Chef at Restaurant Associates to introduce the menu.

In partnership with Make Events, the two final events on March 31st were hosted at treasure house of art, archaeology and history: Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and Manchester’s extraordinary exhibition space, Imperial War Museum North. These events set a precedent to showcase the season of summer events that will be running from May to September. With over 800 attendees across all five events, customer experience remained at the forefront.
