Glyndebourne is an opera house in the heart of the Sussex countryside.

It all began with a love story in 1934, when founder John Christie met soprano Audrey Mildmay. Glyndebourne is now one of the finest and most celebrated opera houses in the world, delivering performances to some 150,000 people across a Summer Festival and an Autumn Tour. Fine food and Glyndebourne go hand-in-hand.

Glyndebourne has three on-site restaurants where your experience can range from a relaxed afternoon tea to sumptuous fine dining overlooking 12 acres of glorious gardens.

Traditional Picnics

Our team have worked hard to develop a picnic that embraces the festival tradition, such a key and much loved part of the Glyndebourne experience.

The Traditional Picnic features sharing treats that you might find in a carefully packed homemade picnic. All freshly prepared daily using local suppliers.
